Off Camera Lighting Workshop

A few weeks ago I got together with a handful of talented wedding photographers in the Denver area to practice off camera lighting with a great little model.  It’s a technique I learned a lot about while I was in photography school and while it’s something we do a lot at our engagement sessions, from my experience, it’s generally harder to do at weddings when everything is moving so fast.  But when I look at the results from the workshop, it’s hard to argue with the drama and texture that an off camera light adds to the image.  Guess I might have to force myself to slow down a little bit and break out the light stands once in a while!  Even though we froze our butts off, it’s always fun to get together with other photographers and play.  A big thanks to Joe from Studio JK for hosting us!  And a huge thanks to the model for being such a good sport!
