Danielle and Scott, September 20th, 2008
Danielle is actually an old friend from my high school days. I hadn’t seen her in over a decade, but it has been so much fun to reconnect with her and get to know Scott over the course of their wedding planning this past year. And we had an absolute blast with them on the wedding day! And a true CO day it was… we had sun, we had shade, we had perfect clouds, dark clouds, a bright sunset, a little rain, and then a clear night with bright stars. The rain just so happened to come right during the ceremony. (Hey, it’s good luck!) It didn’t matter…they finished up it up quickly, we got some really killer shots in the rain before they were whisked away, and then it was onto the party. I couldn’t have asked for more from them! Everyone was happy to let me “create” and I had tons of time… I loved the changing light, it made for super fun formals with the wedding party. The wedding was on the island at Pelican Lake Golf Course, with the reception at Austin’s. It’s a pretty well kept secret I think. I had never heard of it before but it was actually a really sweet spot for a wedding! Two thumbs up to the venue for sure!!
